Daniel 8:27 “Then I, Daniel, was exhausted and sick for days. Then I got up again and carried on the king’s business; but I was astounded at the vision, and there was none to explain it.”

When I read this verse, I said to myself, “I can relate to that.”  There have been times in my life when I felt just like that.  I have wearied myself with ministry.  I have been literally sick from seeing the world around me reject the truth and head straight toward hell.

Daniel had been given a message, but it wasn’t clear to him.  He was burdened to know the truth of the message.  Why?  To show others how much he knew?  To be seen as super smart?  No!  He wanted to make sure that if the message needed to be passed on he could explain its meaning to others.

Sometimes the Lord tells us things that are hard to understand, much less explain to others.  But He tells us truth to share it, not hoard it.  Children need to be discipled so that they can share the good news of the Gospel to others.  This does NOT come naturally.  But with the right guidance, anyone can do it.

There are a multitude of resources out there to choose from.  Let me encourage you to find one to use with your children. Teach them share the truths that God gives them in His Word.  Show them how exciting it is to share a truth and see it take root in someone’s life. That means you have to model truth sharing to them.

What truth has God revealed to you this week in His Word?  With whom can you share that?  Surely, there is someone in your sphere of influence that needs to be encouraged.  Don’t hold onto those nuggets God gives you.  As you share them the truths continue to come.

Holy Father, You are the giver of all good things. Help me share those truths with others. Let others cross my path today who need to hear from You.
