Isaiah 3:10-11 “10 Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their actions. 11 Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, for what he deserves will be done to him.”

One thing I have learned is that God will take of everyone in His own time.  I do not have to worry about someone getting what is coming to him.  That is not my concern.  Whether they “get away” with something is not up to me.  God will judge the righteous and the wicked in due time.

But, man oh man, I want to see the wicked punished.  Don’t you?  I hate it when I see good people suffer and those who have a blatant disregard for God seemingly prosper and flourish.  Today’s verses remind me to let God handle it.  He knows.  He always knows.

There are few lessons that are more important than this one to teach our children. And we can preach and preach it until we are blue in the face.  But our children will learn this best by observing us. They will listen to how we respond when we see an injustice.  They will imitate us in how we treat someone who speaks unkindly about our Savior.

The bottom line to teach our children is this – sinners sin.  Expect them to.  When bad people do bad things we should not be surprised.  When lost people speak evil things we should not gasp.  Without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we would be the same.  Our children need to know that.

Whom do you need to pray for instead of judge today?  What lost person do you need to approach today in love?  How can you direct your children to pray for that lost friend?  Whatever you choose to do today, do it to please your Master.  Let Him be your guide in dealing with others.

Father of all, forgive me of my judgmental attitude towards others.  Forgive me for not being more forgiving.  Teach me, Lord, to rest in You and allow You to convict the lost.
