MAKE NO DOUBT

Job 15:34-35 “34 ‘For the company of the godless is barren, and fire consumes the tents of the corrupt. 35 They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity, and their mind prepares deception.’”

 EVIL IS EVIL

Eliphaz is at it again.  In chapter 15 he is confronting Job’s words and accusing him.  These verses above, meant to turn Job from his sin, speak truth.  Eliphaz assumes Job is in sin and needs to repent.  So, we can read these words and hold them to heart if they apply.

The company of the godless is barren! There is no doubt about that. Fire WILL consume the corrupt one day. These evil people think of mischief and iniquity, and their minds are always deceitful.  Evil IS Evil!  Don’t forget that.

TEACHING MOMENT

Our world will teach our children the exact opposite of God’s Word.  The world will tell them all that “evil” they read about in Sunday School isn’t really all that bad.  Heck, you don’t even have to believe God made you a boy, if you feel like a girl. EVIL!

Our job as parents is simple.  We speak truth into our children every day. We point them to the One True God who is the only right one.  His goodness can fill them.  His love can penetrate them.  And when it does, He will reveal to them what evil is.

Have you drank the Kool-Aid of society? Are you believing the deceit of the evil one?  Are you compromising your convictions to fit in?  Return to the truth.  Call evil what it is – Evil.  There is no other name.

Thank You, Father, that I can rely on You to always tell me the truth.  You are truth.  You know no other way.  Help me to always see things with Your eyes.
